BOXING champ Ricky Burns is to battle Scots heavyweights — after signing to work for a fitness firm. Ricky, 29, has teamed up with fighter pal David Brophy to be a distributor for nutrition and weight loss company Herbalife. The world lightweight No1 hopes to help locals shed pounds in his hometown of Coatbridge, Lanarkshire — voted the fattest place in Britain in 2010. He said: “I’m hoping to offer my help and knowledge to help people get healthy. I can’t wait to get started.” Brophy, 22, added: “We are professional boxers and it’s fabulous to be able to help people around Coatbridge and surrounding areas to get in shape and start thinking about their health. “It’s great having Ricky on board because he is at the top of his game and no one knows better about nutrition than him because he has been in training all his life.” Herbalife’s products include protein shakes and fitness supplements.
