Health is Wealth: Do You sleep enough?

Sleep and Rest

Possibly the most important factor in well-being is getting enough sleep and rest. In order to be physically fit and to feel your best, sleep and rest must be considered just as important as eating fresh foods and exercising regularly. Do you know the difference between sleep and rest? Sleep is the biologically necessary loss of consciousness accompanied by deep breathing as well as a slowed heart rate and metabolism. Rest is simply taking ten or twenty minutes to stop working, stop stressing, and consciously slow down and relax. Rest is the opposite of activity, the balancing element to a hyperactive lifestyle.  Sleep and rest are equally important for good health.Sleeping

Do You Get Enough Sleep?

There’s a very simple way to know if you’re getting enough sleep. Do you feel rested when you wake up in the morning? If you are getting enough good solid sleep, you will feel mentally sharp, aware, and full of focus and concentration when you wake up. Sleep gives you energy.  If you sleep for 8 hours but toss and turn the whole time, you will feel it the next day. You will be tired and fatigued, making every task more difficult. When you’re rested, your mind is clear and your judgment is better.

Preventing Illness

When you get 8 hours of restful sleep every night you won’t get sick as often. If you catch the flu, you will feel a drain in your energy. That’s due in part to your immune system activating and using up energy. If, upon the first sign of illness, you go to bed, your body kicks into conservation mode, directing the energy you would normally use for daily activities to your immune system. Nine times out of ten you will beat the illness this way. That’s what makes sleep one of the best remedies for infection. Even when you do get sick, sleep keeps it from being more severe.

Antidote to Stress

If you get enough restful sleep you are well equipped to let stress roll off your back. When you deprive yourself of sleep, your ability to manage stress is compromised. This is because Sleepyour body has no choice but to keep you awake by releasing chemicals that artificially support your ability to stay pumped and functioning. If you handle stress pretty well, then you’re probably getting enough sleep. But if you find yourself stressed out often, catching more sleep is going to help.

NEEDS for a proper pregnancy

These are the needs for a proper pregnancy.
Protein:
The needs should be progressive during the 3 trimesters. The intake of 50grams for the first, 65 grams for the second and finally 70grams for the third. Proteins serves has building blocks for your child’s main organs. Insufficient quantities could lead to give birth to an underweight baby and it also favours swelling for the mother. The ideal is to consume protein at every meal to avoid a drop of energy. We can find these proteins in tofu, chicken, tuna and actually all kinds of fish and dairy products. Try to stay away from red meats.
The problem is that it’s not easy to ingest so much protein without interfering with our caloric intake. So this is why mothers have so much weight. It’s normal to gain weight but a baby doesn’t weigh 50 lbs or 25 kg. That’s why «Formula 1 (The Shake) and Formula 3 (CellActivator)» are all indicated to give the proper needs in protein without over boarding your daily caloric intake. These are a full meal!

Calcium:
The construction of the bones and teeth of the baby necessitate a daily allowance of calcium. From the first trimester actually the need s are almost doubled and that’s since conception. Nearly 1200 mg per day are recommended.
This means: 4 glasses or milk or soy but them they still have to be taken and in today’s crazy world! Think of the poor mothers especially for those who do consume little or no calcium at all.
The baby will draw directly from the mother’s reserve and your bones will become very frail and fracture more easily. Now you know why osteoporosis is tagged “woman disease” There are many calcium food sources; almonds, white beans, artichoke, and dried figs and cheese and milk. But then there’s always the calorie factor intake. You can compensate by taking «
Nutri-9», you will receive; vitamins A, B, C, E, zinc, copper, magnesium, manganese and calcium.
You will have botanicals that will make sure that you absorb properly the dosage. Some times certain products on the shelves will give you a false feeling of protection but once you’ve gave birth, it’s a bit late to find out that your baby lacks of calcium or there’s a malformation. With
«Nutri-9», you’ll receive your calcium and much more. 9 elements in all, that’s why it’s called «Nutri-9».

Folate/Folic Acid
Building a good reserve of folic acid is a must and improves the likelihood of a successful pregnancy. This vitamin plays an essential role in the cellular conception of the embryo that will become a foetus. It’s also essential; in the development of the neural and blood system of the baby. Insufficient intake augments the risks of abnormalities of the neural tube (Spina Bifida).
It’s very important to have these serves by the 5
th week of conception but the real problem is that most of women don’t know that they’re pregnant before the 8th or 9th week so this makes it evident that when you’re thinking of conceiving, think supplements.
It’s preferable to take 400ug of folic acid before and during pregnancy.
As per food sources, you will find Folate in; leguminous plants (chicks peas, lentils etc) greens, oranges, avocado and brewer’s yeast.
Our «
Formula 2» will fully take care of the folic acid and much more since all group «B» vitamins are present plus A, D, C, and E plus 11 minerals including selenium which is a very powerful antioxidant and when you see selenium HPV chelated it means it’s a highest quality vitamin.
Formula 2, Multivitamin Complex is superior to «Materna» and is natural. Synthetics elements are almost inexistent! A study published in 2004 by Professor E. Czeizel showed that taking a multivitamin containing 0.4 - 0.8mg of folic acid was more effective in preventing neural tube defects that taking high dose folic acid alone.

The Omegas
Proper intake of Fatty Acids such as Ω 3 (omegas-3) are extremely important during pregnancy, especially from the 20th week to the 35th week and during breast feeding. A high intake of Ω 3 in your food source, is associated in the reduction of premature conception, favours a better foetal growth and plays an essential role in the formation the baby’s retina and brain. They’re also extremely benefial to the mother. These Fatty Acids help in decreasing the risks of depression «post partum blues»
The “Daily Amount Recommended” is 500 mg. of
Ω 3 marine source.(EPA,DHA) which represent approximately 2-3 portions of 90 gr. of fat fishes such as salmon, mackerel, sardines and shrimps and rainbow trout..
Cod and tuna will give certain amounts of omegas but these fishes may contain important contaminants such as heavy metals like: mercury (Hg), lead and BCP’s. I would like to bring to your attention that mercury (Hg) will go right through the placenta and could cause neurological disorders to the baby.
To compensate the incalculable risks, you could palliate with the usage of our «
improved Herbalifeline». You obtain 357 mg of EPA & 234 DHA and other essential oils such as: thyme, clove, soy and peppermint. Our «Herbalifeline» contains 57% of
Ω 3 (omegas-3).

So have a great and safe pregnancy.

Sugar & Diabetes going Hand in Hand and so do the effects

Sugar & Diabetes going Hand in Hand and so do the effects

Sugar is without question one of the most dangerous substances on the food market today.
What we are talking about here is sucrose, the white crystalline sugar refined from cane or
beet juice by stripping away all its vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber, water, and other synergists.
White sugar is an industrially processed chemical not found in nature, and it is not fit for human consumption.
Other sugars such as fructose (in fruit and honey), lactose (in milk), and maltose (in grains) are natural substances with nutritional value.
Raw sugar is a coarse, brown, sticky variety made by simply boiling down whole cane juice and it too is a wholesome food, but it is very difficult to find in the Western world.
The so called 'brown sugar' sold in supermarkets is nothing more than refined white sugar with some molasses spun back into it for color and flavor. It is not a 'health food'.
Sugar suppresses the immune system by causing the pancreas to secrete abnormally large quantities of insulin, which is required to break it down. Insulin remains in circulation in the bloodstream long after sugar has been metabolized, and one of its main side effects is to suppress the release of growth hormone in the pituitary gland.
Growth hormone is a primary regulator of the immune system, so anyone who eats a lot of sugar every day is going to experience critical growth hormone deficiency and consequent immune deficiency caused by the constant presence of insulin in the bloodstream.
Furthermore, refined white sugar is treated as a toxic foreign agent by the immune system, owing to its unnatural chemical structure as well as the industrial contaminants it retains from the refining process.
Sugar thus triggers an unnecessary immune response while simultaneously suppressing immune function, thereby debilitating the immune system with a double edged sword.
Sugar is the chief culprit in many diseases and degenerative conditions.
It can easily cause diabetes and is a major factor in candidacies, both of which are epidemic in the industrialized Western world.
Since sugar is 'nutritionally naked', the body must 'borrow' the missing vitamins, minerals and other synergistic nutrients required to metabolize sugar from its own tissues.
Heavy sugar consumption therefore causes a constant siphoning of nutrients from the body. Recent evidence suggests that sugar causes dental problems not so
much by contact with the teeth but rather by leaching the teeth of calcium from within.
Sugar also depletes the body of potassium and magnesium, which are required for proper cardiac function, and is therefore a major factor in heart disease.
The nutritional leaching caused by sugar can give rise to intense food cravings and eating binges, as the body seeks to replenish the nutrients 'stolen' from it by sugar.
Most people consume far more sugar than their bodies can possibly use for energy. When this happens, the liver converts the extra sugar into molecules called triglycerides and stores it as fat, or else produces cholesterol from the by- products of sugar and deposits it in veins and arteries. Sugar is thus a major factor in obesity and arteriosclerosis as well.
Sugar is an addictive substance. In Sugar Blues, William Dufty writes; 'The difference between sugar addiction and narcotic addiction is largely one of degree.'
Abruptly giving up sugar invariably brings on the sort of withdrawal symptoms associated with narcotic drugs- fatigue, lassitude, depression, moodiness, headaches, aching limbs.
Its addictive nature is also reflected in current per capita consumption in the USA an average of 130 pounds of sugar per person per year, or about 1/3 pound daily. That qualifies as 'substance abuse'. Most people don't even realize how much sugar they're taking every day because much of it is hidden in other foods.
A 12-ounce can of a typical soft drink, for example, contains about nine teaspoons of refined white sugar.
Sugar consumption in the USA is so high that it has also caused a social problem through its deleterious effects on behavior, especially in children, who are displaying increasingly severe behavioral disorders and learning disabilities.
In a recent study conducted by Dr. C. Keith Connors of the Children's Hospital in Washington, DC, a 'deadly' link was established between the consumption of sugar with carbohydrates (such as breakfast cereal, cake, and biscuits) and violent behavior, hypertension, and learning impediments.
