Macronutrienti



I macronutrienti forniscono l’energia necessaria per la crescita, il metabolismo ed altre funzioni corporee essenziali. “Macro” significa grande, quindi i macronutrienti sono nutrienti che dobbiamo assumere in quantità relativamente grandi. Esistono tre categorie di macronutrienti:

•    Carboidrati    (fibre    comprese)

•    Proteine

•    Grassi

Ogni gruppo di macronutrienti apporta energia in modi diversi e in quantità diverse. I contributi energetici, calcolati su una fonte pura di nutrienti, sono:
 

  • Carboidrati 4 Kcal (17 kj) per grammo

  • Fibre 2 Kcal (8 kj) per grammo

  • Proteine 4 Kcal (17 kj) per grammo

  • Grassi (Lipidi) 9 Kcal (37 kj) per grammo

Quindi, 1g di grassi puri ha un apporto energetico 2,25 volte superiore a quello di 1g di carboidrati.
