In light of the recent ad campaign for the EGG McMUFFIN, I feel that it is only right in cluing you all in on the real full meal deal!! The Egg McMuffin is one of McDonald's signature breakfast sandwiches, a fast food alternative "breakfast". However, it is far from being a healthy way to start the day like the ad campaign would lead you to believe.
One Egg McMuffin contains 280 calories (or so they say) but with a limited amount of the key nutrients essential to a healthy diet AND it's laden with cholesterol (linked with heart disease and stroke risk) and sodium!!
Have a look at the difference between the nutritional facts of an Egg McMuffin with 300cal. and a Herbalife shake with 220cal. It's a real eye opener!!
