We are a global nutrition company that has helped people pursue a healthy, active life since 1980. Our nutrition, weight-management and personal care products are available exclusively through dedicated independent Distributors in more than 90 countries.
We support the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) and its Casa Herbalife program to help bring good nutrition to children in need. We also sponsor world-class athletes, teams and events around the globe, including Cristiano Ronaldo, the LA Galaxy and FC Barcelona soccer clubs, as well as champions in more than 15 other sports.

Mark Hughes passed away in 2000, but his vision for changing people’s lives – helping people manage their weight, regain their health and find financial prosperity – continues to thrive.
Today, approximately 2.7 million Herbalife Independent Distributors in more than 90 countries are making their dreams of a healthier life and financial independence come true.

The extraordinary vision and commitment that inspired Mark Hughes to found Herbalife began when he was a young man. It was because his mother died due to slimming pills overdose. In 1980, Mark launched Herbalife by working as the first Distributor selling the nutritional products.
As more and more people tried the products and experienced positive results, the business quickly expanded. Mark developed a network of Distributors who shared his vision, were passionate about the products and excited about the business opportunity.

In honor of Mark’s pioneering work in weight management and nutrition, Herbalife helped establish the Mark Hughes Cellular & Molecular Nutrition Laboratory at UCLA in 2003, dedicated to nutrition research.

Choice of the Year 2013
Herbalife Ukraine received the prestigious Choice of the Year 2013 medal in the Food Supplements category. The coveted award is chosen through a nationwide survey of Ukrainian consumers and it underscores Herbalife's leadership position in global nutrition.
2013 Healthy Nutrition Award
Herbalife Russia received the 2013 Healthy Nutrition award in the Functional Food for Urban Population category. This annual award recognizes leading companies in health and healthy nutrition education.
2013 Best Company of the Year
Herbalife Russia received the Best Company of the Year award in the Socially Responsible Company category. The selection was based on an analytical study conducted by the Entrepreneurship Promotion Fund with data from the Federal Service of State Statistics, the Chartbook of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and rating agencies as well as the information provided by the participants.
2013 Corporate Social Responsibility Award
Herbalife Taiwan won the prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility Award, presented by Global Views magazine, in recognition of its long-term support and devotion to Taiwan baseball sports development and promotion. Global Views is one of the most popular monthly business magazines in Taiwan.
2012 Best Social Projects of Russia
Herbalife Russia’s corporate social responsibility initiatives – TEAM Herbalife and the Herbalife Family Foundation’s Casa Herbalife programs – received the “Best Social Projects of Russia” award in 2012. "Best Social Projects of Russia" is a national program established to support the aim of the Russian Government to improve social policy, based on partnership between the state, society and the private sector.
2013 SNQ National Quality Certification
Taiwan-based Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI) recently awarded its Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) certification to Herbalife, recognizing three products: Triple Berry Complex, Tang Kuei Plus and Niteworks® Powder Mix. With these three new additions, Herbalife has now received 17 SNQ certifications from IBMI in Taiwan, including Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix. This product quality and safety certification is issued after a strict review process.
2012 ISO 10002:2004 in Customer Satisfaction
Herbalife Taiwan is the first direct selling company in Asia to receive the ISO 10002:2004 certification in customer satisfaction. ISO 10002:2004 creates a customer-focused environment that receives feedback, resolves complaints and facilitates product and customer service improvements.
Best Brand of the Consumer
Herbalife in Korea was awarded ‘The Best Brand of the Consumer’ award in the 2011 health functional food industry category. This award was sponsored by JoongAng Daily, Korea’s top daily newspaper, and the Presidential Council on Nation Branding. Two thousand consumers were surveyed and group of experts in corporate brand management evaluated the candidates and selected the top companies.
Mexican Center for Philanthropy
We received the 2010 ESR award in Mexico from CEMEFI (Mexican Center for Philanthropy) for being a socially responsible company. We implemented activities in five distinct areas – Environment, Ethics, Community Outreach, Responsible Consumption and Employee’s Life Quality – to ensure the sustainability of our mission through our values and a culture of social responsibility.
2010 Apple Award
Bill Frankos, Ph.D., senior vice president, global product science, safety and compliance received the 2010 Apple Award from the Council of Responsible Nutrition for his long-term dedication and contributions to the dietary supplement industry.

Corporate Governance
The methods and policies that relate to directing and administering our short-term and long-term goals as a company are in place to ensure accountability and economic efficiency for our stakeholders. With consistent focus in these areas, we met independence criteria almost one year early, and we meet all NYSE-listed public company requirements for transparency.
To ensure continuing gains in this area, we created the independent post, director-in-charge of executive sessions, which will be held on a rotating, annual basis by an independent director, and will facilitate executive meetings of the board’s independent directors.
Business Ethics
We uphold the highest ethical standards in the operation of our company. We do the right, honest and ethical thing, always taking the high road. We strive for consistent enforcement of compliance regulations and are committed to providing a level playing field for all our independent Distributors. Those who do not comply are disciplined, suspended or terminated. We require annual ethics training for all employees, worldwide.
Herbalife Family Foundation
We support the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) and its Casa Herbalife program, which provides funding to improve nutrition to charitable organizations taking care of children-at-risk around the world. HFF also supports disaster relief efforts around the globe, including raising funds to reconstruct damaged areas of communities and help evacuate survivors.
GAIN Future Fortified Campaign
Herbalife is proud to work with The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and DSM Nutritional Products, a producer of vitamins and a broad range of nutritional ingredients, around GAIN’s new Future Fortified campaign. The campaign seeks to help millions of women and children around the world access the essential nutrients they need to lead healthy, enriched lives. The global nutrition campaign was unveiled during the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City on September 21, 2011.

Live Green
Through environmentally conscious initiatives, Live Green and the 3Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle – Herbalife focuses on ways to protect our environment. Herbalife’s downtown Los Angeles office was created using recycled, rapidly-renewable materials and has earned its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification for its environmentally-friendly design. We earned credits for efforts in Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality.
Herbalife works on an ongoing basis to encourage its employees and independent Distributors to ‘Live Green’ through a variety of programs and education. These include car and vanpools, using biodegradable and recycled materials, conservation, and reusing and eliminating hazardous materials such as plastic bags and Styrofoam cups.
