Unfortunately a couple of days after I returned to Jamaica I had a bad fall and hurt my right knee and ankle. So no heels, no excessive walking, no jogging, no driving for me for a few weeks. With summer around the bend, this could be a nightmare!
Somewhere during my 2nd week of doctor-recommended "house arrest" my frustration about my circumstances had reached boiling point. I had to stop and talk to myself (yes, I talk to myself). I said "Things could really have been a lot worse you know. Yuh cuda bruk sum'n! (Translation: You could have broken something). Is the mountain bigger than me or is my will to get to the other side bigger?"
So I decided that I need to make the most of this opportunity and turn my focus to what I consider one of my trouble areas: my arms. I long for lean, nicely toned arms, almost like Michelle Obama’s…almost. So I’m going to concentrate on some light weightlifting and arms circles (N.B. I got the go-ahead from the doctor).
So help me be accountable. Here’s my mission:
- Do arm exercises consistently 3-4 times a week to achieve lean, toned arms
-
Get my diet and appetite back in check with the help of
- Herbalife meal replacement protein shakes
- Tracking my meals and activity on iChange and
- Some tips to get ready for Summer
