Drink Up

Drink More Water, it can prevent UTIs and even cure your headaches? Just regular H2O! Drinking water is truly drinking to your health.

Colour-Coded

An easy way to see if your body is properly hydrated: Take a peek at your urine. If the color is pale yellow or clear, you are good to go. If it’s dark yellow, you may be dehydrated, so grab another glass of water.

Easy Come. Easy Go.

It’s so easy to get water into your body—and just as easy to lose it. Each day you lose 4 cups of water just by breathing, sweating, and having bowel movements. You lose another 6 cups by urinating. You get about 20 percent of the fluid you need from the food you eat (2 cups), so you need to drink 8 cups of water on average to stay well hydrated.

Headache?

Even mild dehydration can cause headaches, so before popping a pain pill, try a glass of water instead. Medical studies show that most people get headache relief in as little as 30 minutes by drinking a couple of glasses of water.

Drink Till You Drop (Pounds).

Yikes! The average American gets 20 percent of her daily calories from sugary or high calorie drinks. Switch caloric drinks for water, and you’ll be cutting out around 400 calories a day. In pounds, that’s 3.5 lbs. a month. Hello bikini!

A Habit to Break

Women with a daily habit of drinking sugary soft drinks or fruit drinks have an increased risk of developing diabetes. Break the bad habit by switching out one sugary drink for water each day. Eventually you’ll be free of sugary drinks!

This Drink is Making Me Thirsty!

Alcohol is a diuretic, which means it makes you urinate frequently. It also weakens your thirst response, meaning you may forget to drink water all night long. Be sure to always drink a glass of water with each alcoholic beverage.
