Australia, New Zealand, and Rule 24-C

On Friday, March 2, HNN will update the databases to remain in compliance with Herbalife’s price advertising rules. According to this requirement, customers must have an access code in order to view prices or to purchase products. The HNN team has worked with several other countries that have this rule in place, and we’ll help you to make the transition. Members can learn more about using the access codes on their site in the Member’s area under Help. Open the .pdf file and scroll down just a bit to the section on Access Codes. If you have specific questions about the requirement, please contact Herbalife’s Distributor Services group or your immediate upline sponsor.

HNN is Compliant with Herbalife’s Rule 24-C

We first posted information on Rule 24-C in mid-March. This rule requires all personal websites to utilize access codes to view product prices or to place an order. Our implementation of and transition to the use of access codes went very smoothly; special thanks to those HNN members who offered advice as we worked through specific issues.

If you are unfamiliar with the access code requirement, log in to your HNN members account at http://herbal-nutrition.net/login to discover the code you can insert on your business cards and other materials you personally deliver to potential customers.

Product Changes from Herbalife (US)

Herbalife has announced a new product and updates to the weight management programs.

The newest product is Hand Sanitizer, and you will find it under Immune Solutions in your HNN retail site.

Other changes include increased sizes of Formula One in all of the weight management programs. From Herbalife’s official announcement:

“By popular Distributor request, the 550g canister of Formula 1 Healthy Meal Nutritional Shake Mix included in all of our Weight Management programs has been replaced with a larger 750g canister! You can now offer your customers a program containing 30 daily servings to support their nutrition needs.”

Increasing the sizes has also increased the overall price for the programs, and the HNN team has made all of the necessary changes to your retail sites.

Herbalife Announces Updated “Price Advertising Rule”

Herbalife has just announced an update to their “Price Advertising Rule” which will affect your HNN retail website. Effective April 8th, 2010, all retail websites will be required to have a customer password before those customers can view prices. Here’s the information direct from Herbalife:

In 2009 Herbalife introduced a Price Advertising Rule in the US, which we are
updating at this time to include additional provisions which make it a requirement for websites that reflect
pricing information to be accessible to the general public ONLY via the use of passwords.

We view this as a positive development for distributors, as this will discourage the use of discounting as a promotional technique. You see, we believe that customers want to buy from the distributor who will serve them the best, and not just sell at the lowest price. Mark Hughes believed in ‘use, wear, and talk’, and this price rule will allow you to ‘talk’ to your customers before they see prices.

We’re going to use this opportunity to activate a customer login module we’ve been working on, which will allow your HNN retail site to stay in compliance with Herbalife’s rules, and allow repeat customers to login to a personal account for quick and easy reordering. We will do everything we can to make this as simple as possible for your Herbalife retail customers!

Herbalife Product Changes and New Labels (US only)

As you may know, Herbalife has made changes to their Weight Management Programs and to the labeling on several of their products. In short, the Shapeworks Protein Plus programs are no longer available in the US; in addition, the contents and price of the Ultimate program has changed.

HNN US retail sites have been updated for the members. However, if you had any of the Protein Plus programs as a Featured Product, you will need to adjust your selections in the HNN Members area. Just log in at http://herbal-nutrition.net/ go to Manage Store, then choose Featured Products. Make your changes and hit Update at the bottom of the page.

Herbal Aloe Ready to Drink

Finally, in addition to new labels …

Michael Johnson, Herbalife CEO on CNBC’s Mad Money

If you missed Michael Johnson on Jim Cramer’s Mad Money the other night, you missed a great interview. It was about 10 minutes long and Jim Cramer talked with Michael Johnson about how Herbalife is thriving in these difficult economic times. HLF’s stock has had some ups and downs over the past few years (as many companies have), but Herbalife is now at a 52 week high. Michael even discusses some facts about the new markets Herbalife is opening, including Vietnam.

Herbalife is a very well-run company, and this video segment could also be used for your recruiting efforts to help show people how great the business model is, and how Herbalife distributors are going to OWN 2010!
