Title: 10 Easy Tips to Eat Your Way to Lower Cholesterol

Do you have high cholesterol and need to lower it? Nowadays considering how many people have high cholesterol, that is no surprise anymore. To help lower your cholesterol, here are 10 tips you can get started with right away.

With the basic rule of 80% dieting and 20% exercising, what you eat is critical to lowering your cholesterol levels, so that is what is included here.

One thing you should know is the difference between the two different cholestrol: LDL and HDL. Simply think of HDL as "healthy" and LDL as "lousy." HDL can actually help carry cholesterol out of your blood vessels while LDL allows it to deposit inside your artery walls.

Good news for all of you is that you can change your cholesterol level for the better. The 10 tips are as follows:

1. Have a nice sandwich on whole wheat bread or a pita with some lean turkey and lots of fresh veggies. Skip the hot dogs, bologna, and salami, and hold the mayonaise. All of those are highly processed and filled with fat and cholesterol. Having a Formula 1 shake is way simpler, tastier and healthier.

2. Fish, like salmon, is good. Look for wild red salmon varieties, which are very high in Omega-3 fatty acids (good fat.) Herbalife has their own wonderful version of Omega 3 fish oil product.

3. Avoid Trans fats! Not only do they raise the lousy LDL cholesterol, they can also lower your HDL levels! Stay away from foods like margarine, shortening, and processed foods containing partially hydrogenated soybean oil.

4. Go ahead, go nuts! Look for walnuts mainly but also try almonds, macadamia nuts, cashews, and pecans. Nuts are high in fat, but it's the good kind. (Also, use natural peanut butter instead of the normal kind which contains unhealthy Trans fats.) Our protein bar naturally has the chocolate peanut flavour which is a great snack to have!

5. Limit desserts and try to eat only the healthier ones like angel food cake, Jell-O, and fat-free frozen yogurt.

6. Eat foods that are high in fiber. Examples include whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, beans, and some cereals. (Look for the boxes that say "may help lower cholesterol.") Herbalife's Herbal Aloe Concentrate at the same time is a good remedy for people with poor digestive systems.

7. Use the grill. If you're going to have steak or burgers, grill them at home and use lean meat. This practice avoids the grease, is fun, and the meat tastes great.

8. Find a new salad dressing. Most of them are full of Trans fats and cholesterol. Olive oil is good, and maybe add vinegar or lemon juice. Also, skip the bacon bits, croutons, and egg yolks.

9. Go overboard on fruits and vegetables. They contain no cholesterol and they have lots of nutrients like antioxidants. Fact: A Formula 1 shake has nutrition equivalent to 33 vegetables and 6 fruits.

Here are some examples: green peas, broccoli, cauliflower, apples, oranges, mangos, papaya, pineapple, tomato, garlic, onions, spinach, water chestnuts, bananas, apricots, blueberries, and kiwi.

10. Avoid fast food like french fries and anything else from the deep fryer. Those foods will raise your cholesterol like crazy, so stay away from the burger joints if you can. Grab a protein bar or make a shake instead!

That was easy, wasn't it? Just make some of these changes and get plenty of exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, or playing basketball. My Story Before and After Herbalife

I, Tommy Chiu, am a personal wellness coach based in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With the mission of changing people’s lives , I help the people around me to become healthy and reach their weight management goals through balanced nutrition. Here is a little bit of my story.

I was a student studying in the United Kingdom, never passed my running exams during high school, had low stamina, a fat body and often called an uncle despite the biological age of 21 years old. Although I knew quite a lot about good nutrition, diet habits and healthy lifestyle, it was almost impossible to achieve while living the busy
, hectic lifestyle of studying in London. Besides that, due to family and peer pressure just to graduate with a Master’s degree, my health was going downhill over time, especially during my final year of studies. In order to finish off my final year projects, the number of sleepless nights was simply countless. Upon finishing my studies in the middle of Year 2012, I was also diagnosed with the following problems: border line sugar level (high), high uric acid, high cholesterol (LDL) and an excess amount of white blood cells. Back in Malaysia, due to the Chinese tradition of obeying and respecting the elder ones, it was a norm for the children to finish up leftover or excess food. The biggest sizes I wore back then was size 36 pants, L sized shirts, weighed a maximum of 73 kilograms. With the dream of wearing size 28 pants and S sized shirts, it was really challenging for me until....

Towards the end of the year of 2012, I was involved in another health supplements industry, which my working hours were mostly at night. I then contacted my pet brother's primary school teacher by chance one morning and found that he had a breakfast shop somewhere in Sri Petaling. As I had extra free time to roam around in the morning, I paid a visit to the breakfast shop, and realised that there's this low calorie diet that could possibly replace my meals and help me achieve my dream sizes! On the 2nd of October, 2012, I started changing my breakfast and dinner into this low calorie diet, I recovered my stamina in a mere 7 days, and lost 8 kgs from 69 down to 61 in just 2 months!

Because of these amazing results, people started asking me what happened and I slowly began to get myself involved in Herbalife to understand what's the science behind it and at the same time, helping others to become healthy.

In order to let the general public to understand more about their body, I provide a FREE wellness evaluation service for people that are relatively close enough to me. From then on, I shall advise you on the possible measures to take in order to achieve your wellness goals.

Your wellness goals can be ranging from but not restricted gaining weight, losing weight, improve your health conditions, getting better skin and more. What are you waiting for? ASK ME HOW!
